Launched in March 1998, Showtime Extreme has over 60+ movies each month. While the main focus of Showtime Extreme is the action and adventure genre, it has dipped its foot into showing more and more horror movies on a regular basis. Some of the films are crossovers between horror/action and horror/drama that horror film buffs love.

During the month of January 2025 Showtime Extreme has horror classics such as Shutter Island, Kiss the Girls and Final Destination among others.
