AMC FearFest
What is FearFest? In 1997, the AMC network launched Monsterfest, a popular week-long marathon of horror movies and thrillers that aired in late October. On September 26, 2008, AMC announced the launch of a new horror-themed movie marathon for its October schedule called “Fearfest” which replaced Monsterfest. Fear Fest typically runs from mid-October every year until Halloween (often the day after too) and in recent years has run throughout the entire month of October. In 2023 AMC ran a “Kickoff to FearFest” that began on September 25th.

Your welcome
I would have to say this was the best year for watching horror/ slasher flicks on tv since the 90’s when I was a teenager. If you missed out I feel sorry for you, Starz showed all the Friday the 13th movies in order on Saturday, The same day Sundance was showing Stephen King movies ( Carrie, Silver Bullet, Christine, etc. I was turning back and forth from Child’s Play marathon on WGN, to Syfy’s Nightmare on Elm St marathon. It was finally cool too most of the networks show slasher flicks that we grew up with. I hope they do this next year and some other networks too. Thank you
Fans of Halloween would probably prefer if you played the Halloween franchise movies in order it so out of order I wouldn’t want to watch that way
F*** the walking dead. Stop playing it. Bring back the month long fearfest and stop playing the same movies over and over. Come on amc you lazy bunch of dumb f****.
Man, I’m loving nothing but Halloween flicks! I look forward to it every single year! Bring it on! Popcorn, cold beer, candy for the kids….Its a tradition!
Why did you remove hallorween III season of the witch this year ? its third best in the series
and a true atmospheric halloween movie !
QUIT WITH THE WALKING DEAD!!! stop being cheap!! AMC u can bare the expense of running the fear fest tradition!! it only comes once a year!! think of your viewers!! and not your wallets!
QUIT WITH THE WALKING DEAD!!! fear fest is only once a yea.. AMC u can bare the expense!! stop being cheap and think abojut the viewers and fans of the fear fest tradition!!!
No more walking dead! That’s all year! This is fearfest, get to know your own programming and learn to count movie sequels.
Fear Fest has really gone down hill over the last few years. There are so many great horror films over the years I would love to see like, The Funhouse, Motel Hell, Night Of The Creeps, etc. My point being, instead of showing the same movie like fours times during Fear Fest, only show a movie title once and add so many more movies like the above mentioned titles, along with stuff like Return Of The Living Dead 1 and 2. I have a huge list of movies covering the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more. Also, what about all the Hammer Films?
