AMC FearFest
What is FearFest? In 1997, the AMC network launched Monsterfest, a popular week-long marathon of horror movies and thrillers that aired in late October. On September 26, 2008, AMC announced the launch of a new horror-themed movie marathon for its October schedule called “Fearfest” which replaced Monsterfest. Fear Fest typically runs from mid-October every year until Halloween (often the day after too) and in recent years has run throughout the entire month of October. In 2023 AMC ran a “Kickoff to FearFest” that began on September 25th.

Thank you very much for your support (and for tolerating the ads) - I appreciate it!
Love Halloween.
Thank you AMC! I’m so glad to see so many great classics and the Steven King movies! Also the exorcist and omen as well, great lineup this year!
I think that starting Oct. 27, 2018 should be Halloween, Halloween II, & H20 all the way up until Halloween. I don’t think that any of the Rob Zombies’ Halloween makeover’s should be played at anytime. Those movies really stunk ( I have other words for them but I will be nice for the public reading this). I can’t wait until the new Halloween 2018 coming to a theater new you is released. After Halloween is about Halloween. Thank you 🙂
Fear fest has become a joke! A hand full of movies for a few days? This is ridiculous and just plain sad. I remember when fear fest was practically all of October and there were horror movies 24/7, AMC became the channel for Halloween movies and now it’s just a disgrace.
Halloween weekend will be great once again thanks to AMC. I look forward to Saturday Oct. 27th. That’s when they will have a Fri the 13th marathon showing all the movies. I would love to see Joe Bob Briggs host the marathon that nite!
That’s it? Come on, guys! There are so many classic horror movies that you could play, and you’re not even playing horror movies every day, let alone the majority of the day? Disappointment.
Hi Clint, horror movies will be playing every day. The full schedule will be up soon.
I love the Halloween and Friday the 13th movies. I would love to see them played more and movies like Annabelle
I am really excited for Fearfest, freeform & Syfy 31days, IFC movies, ElRey and everything else Halloween brings. I will tell everyone don’t complain about the movies. We only get this time once a year, so let us get our popcorn, candy, and dvr’s ready to enjoy all the fun and scary movies
