AMC FearFest
What is FearFest? In 1997, the AMC network launched Monsterfest, a popular week-long marathon of horror movies and thrillers that aired in late October. On September 26, 2008, AMC announced the launch of a new horror-themed movie marathon for its October schedule called “Fearfest” which replaced Monsterfest. Fear Fest typically runs from mid-October every year until Halloween (often the day after too) and in recent years has run throughout the entire month of October. In 2023 AMC ran a “Kickoff to FearFest” that began on September 25th.

Thank you very much for your support (and for tolerating the ads) - I appreciate it!
If all you people want the old classic horror movies watch TCM why do you want the same movies on AMC also you can watch all the old movies on Svengoolie all year long over and over and over. It would not be halloween without Michael Myers
I love the AMC FearFest, and have been watching for many years… When it USED TO begin October 1st. With ALL the Horror movies that are out there, don’t you think Horror Fans would like a wider variety, for an entire month… Not just repeats of the same old movies every day or other day? There are MANY MORE that you can show, and be able to satisfy everyone’s tastes. Please consider? Respectfully.
Halloween, Friday the 13th, chucky and them are good for Fear Fest, but include good rare movies, as well ….like Clownhouse.
Clown house is on YouTube free FYI.
Thank you brandy i absolutely love Clownhouse, and as a matter of fact i’ve been searching the globe for this movie. This movie is so hard to find. This movie is so rare, and i’ve never seen it on television.I have found the movie on amazon for like 300 million dollars lol. But seriously it is a pretty penny on amazon. I would love to have this movie in my collection. Saw this movie as a child back in the vhs days, and i loved it ever since.
Try indigo couldn’t find a movie before and the put an order in for us didn’t take long to come in either
Would love to see Funhouse, my bloody Valentine, creepshow and Alice sweet Alice.
I like the mix of movies that AMC shows on “Fear Fest”…sure, they’re the same as years past, but they’re worth waiting for, gets us all in a Halloween mood, can help bring back memories of Halloweens past…many local stations played the same ones years ago, some of which have not been seen on AMC (and could, like “The Omen” and “It’s Alive”, both are quite disturbing).
No need to complain, we’re all entitled to our opinions, let’s just enjoy the horrorthon (yes, this is from “Halloween III: Season Of The Witch”, which is pretty good) and all of the Halloween festivities. If you miss some of the titles you mentioned, you can see them On Demand, they should all be there. Keep up the good work, AMC!
I totally agree with you, I watched all them. I totally loved it. I just wanted to know are you nice clean shaved man. just wanted to know that’s all. don’t want to offend you 🙂
It will be great to see the phantasm movies on and fearfest.
PLEASE NO MORE TREMORS!!!! Monster Fest was the best. Old Movies, REAL Scary Movies, Gorey Movies, Stephen King!!! Michael, Jason, Freddie, Tall Man, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Mummy, Psycho, George Romero, Chain saws, Priests, Demons, Rosemary, Pigs blood, Damien, Freaks, LOTS OF BLACK AND WHITE, Slasher films….
AMC….Listen to your viewers!!!
last year you showed movie sequels very disappointing one after another please listen to your fans we want to see a variety of scary good movie classic films.lol but i still tune in every year.
October 16???? Really? This is so disappointing. It needs to start October 1 like in years past. Please show other horror films this year besides Child’s Play, Halloween, and all 724 Tremors movies. Thanks!
AMC can’t wait for the movies! It would be really nice of you to play the Phantasm series of movies this year, in honor of Angus Scrimm. BOY!!!
Happy Halloween 🙂
AMC are you guys listening to the fans? We are getting sick and tired of the same old crap every year. Please learn how to show different movies .
I’ll sure be glad when amc releases the fearfest schedule. But please once again don’t show the tremors movies you show them every year.
Yesssss I agree !!!
Why do you keep showing the same movies every year during fearfest? I use to watch when you had monster feast with the old movies. How many times can you watch halloween..friday 13 and chucky??? How sad..will not be watching this year
