What is Monstober? Monstober (previously named Disney Channel’s Hauntober Fest and later called Wiz-tober in 2008) was a nightly marathon of Halloween-related movies that debuted on October 1, 2005 on Disney Channel. In 2012, Wiz-tober was renamed Monstober to prepare for the Girl Vs. Monster premiere. Monstober officially ended after October 2016. Beginning in 2021, Disney Channel ran the “Calling All the Monsters” programming block during October, featuring various Halloween-themed TV specials and original movies. It is rumored that the Disney Channel will be re-launching the Monstober programming event in October 2024.

  • Is there a way we can all get a petition going to bring back the classic Halloween movies that most of us watched as kids. The Halloweentown series mainly. ?

  • I am so unbelievably disappointed with family channel and all of its changes. Mainly the hollow web movie line up. Every year kids of all ages, even kids now in their teens get excited to be able to come on your channel and watch the old Halloween movies like twitches and Halloween town. Seeing that you won’t be airing them this year, I know you have lost thousands of viewers. It’s horrible to get rid of the older classics to being in newer things. It would be great to see a balance of both.

  • Like everyone else, I’m not sure what’s happened with Monstober. There used to be Halloween movies every night and some of those are classics like the Halloweeentown series. My daughter and I looked forward to Monstover every year and the happy memories they created but it’s garbage now. Thankful to have DVR’d several of the shows. Disney, you’ve lost touch with the viewers and sense of family.

Disney’s not up to the task this year. They use to have Seasonable shows to the brim.

  • I’m with everyone else. The line up for Monstober movies are poor. How could you not have Halloween Town on the list?! This season will not be the same!!! I thought the Disney channel was set up for the children. TV continues to change for the worst. A lot of families look forward to this time of the year and it’s being ruined by poor choices. So sad!
