What is Monstober? Monstober (previously named Disney Channel’s Hauntober Fest and later called Wiz-tober in 2008) was a nightly marathon of Halloween-related movies that debuted on October 1, 2005 on Disney Channel. In 2012, Wiz-tober was renamed Monstober to prepare for the Girl Vs. Monster premiere. Monstober officially ended after October 2016. Beginning in 2021, Disney Channel ran the “Calling All the Monsters” programming block during October, featuring various Halloween-themed TV specials and original movies. It is rumored that the Disney Channel will be re-launching the Monstober programming event in October 2024.

So disappointed, I checked to see if I could record Halloweentown High and the 4th movie on the 30th, but it does not even appear that it is going to air on tv. I miss the old movies.

  • I’ve been expecting Halloween town as well like every year and other Disney Halloween movies but all they seem to play is Hocus Pocus everyday which I don’t mind but I’d like to see others as well since it’s basically once a year they play it

Everyone I know why Disney channel is not the same anymore Anne Sweeney who was the president of Disney channel from 1996 to 2014 was the target of criticism. Some critics have disapproved of the marketing strategy that was drafted during her tenure to put all the great stuff. She is no longer the president of Disney channel someone else is the president of Disney channel

  • You know, it’s so sad to come to the realization of what all channels have come to. Because of the shows you guys think are appealing to the audience, you have lost so many viewers Disney. I don’t know what you guys were thinking when you canceled shows left and right many choices have been inconsiderate. I can’t complain anymore because it is too late. I know that many of actors that I grew up to love and idolize have moved on from Disney, grown up and are moving about their business wherever they might be. I wasn’t even sad when my mother came to me with a phone call saying that some of the Disney channel networks might be taken off with the new plan she on because it is definitely safe to say I don’t watch tv at all. People had these original shows and movies to relate to amongst peers, friends, and even families especially when the holidays came around to say hello. You stripped that from us, and that isn’t good. What is even more upsetting is how many shows you guys ended leaving us on cliffhangers and disappearing without a trace, only leading us to believe the conspiracy theories that were fan made as to why the show ended. Then on top of that, the disrespect of replacing the great shows with shows that literally make no sense grinds my gears to the fullest. I’m disappointed but I guess all I could do is find an online site to rant on as if you guys are going to look twice at our comments and take them into consideration. It is ok, the same way how you feel you don’t need our support casting the 90s and 2000s babies to side, we could cast you aside as well. It is definitely disgusting to know you would not care because of the tons of money you guys are making off of franchises so the fact that you have people knocking at your doorstep asking for a simple favor to bring back our beloved shows is the least thing you could possibly do. But that would never happen so what am I really asking? I have no idea, I just wanted to get this off of my chest.
